-Intro-
Hi, and welcome to my second FUN-DNA tutorial: Crysis Sandbox | MegaTutorial part 2 - Creating terrain.
After you made that sure you can follow these steps to create terrain.
(!) As these tutorials are 'Step by step tutorials' I won't be doing any unneeded theory, which will spare you lots of reading, learning will mostly be done by working, not by reading all the time. (!)
-1-
Start the editor if you haven't already, and load the level that we created in the previous tutorial.
-2-
On the right of the screen you will be seeing the so called 'RollupBar'
If you don't see the RollupBar, you can activate it by going to: View>>Show Rollup Bar, as shown below:
The RollupBar is split in 5 tabs: Objects, Terrain, and the last 3 are less important (we will discuss these later when they are needed).
So lets continue by clicking the second tab(terrain).
Click Modify, keep the type on Flatten.
Outside Radius is your own choice.
Set the hardness to 0.5.
And set a height of 17.
Move the camera around by holding the right-mouse-button and using the WASD keys.(same movement keys as in the actual game) and find a good spot to modify the terrain.
Click and hold the mouse to raise the terrain.
-3-
Now you have a terrain where you can walk on. Go ahead and test it out by pressing: Ctrl+G
In the next tutorial I'll show you how to spawn AI.
Happy Modding!
